Our Philosophy

Quality, originality and style, backed by knowledge, experience and an original eye, and a love for what we sell.

Decorative Antiques

Our aim at Lionheart is to offer one of a kind decorative antiques to descerning private buyers, collectors, interior designers and decorators, with emphasis on decorative British, european, colonial and middle eastern furniture, also vintage pieces with character, stylish mid century furniture and mirrors, in particular pieces that can add a decorative statement. Our pieces look good in town or in country, in complete period settings, or as elements or accents in contemporary spaces.

Country House Furniture

We also have a selection of 'country house furniture', by quality cabinet makers of the 18th and 19th century, such as Gillows Of Lancaster, Holland & Sons, and Howards and sons

Eclectic.

Lionheart Interiors source genuine 17th century pieces, all the way through to the 1970ʼs, we love the idea of mixing it all up, it's a fresh and exciting way of creating unique interiors using antiques, vintage and mid century items whilst recycling objects that may once have been considered obsolete.

Upcycled.

Concentrating on the conservation and care of antique furniture, it has long been apparent to us the importance of recycling furniture and in doing so, helping to reduce the impact of disposable products on the environment. It's a known fact that an antique's carbon footprint is 16 times less than the modern manufactured equivelant. Lionheart Interiors also intend to offer bespoke items of upcycled furniture, using salvaged woods and antique fragments, for making cupboards, bookcases and dining tables, we shall implement a dedicated page for these items.

Company Background

Lionheart Interiors is based in the historic riverside town of Bewdley, Worcestershire, and is owned by Leanne and Nigel Mayall. Leanne initially studied art, but her fasination with antiques began as a child, with her family owning a string of antique shops from the 1970s-90's, where she would often help out. A few years later she began working alongside her long-time partner Nigel, shortly after he completed a furniture college course, and formed an antique restoration business and bricks and mortar antique shop on the high street.

Since those days a plethora of antique items have been brought back to former glory, ranging from vintage car dashboards, grand pianos through to 17th & 18th century family heirlooms for many satisfied customers from top interior decorators, owners of large country house estates, celebrities to american antique dealers and corporate businesses.

Having worked in a restoration workshop for many years, the idea of selling antiques online seemed a natural progression for the couple. After discovering the concept of decorative antiques, in 2013 they decided to use their knowledge, to source and sell a more varied and interesting collection of antique and vintage interiors and launch their first online shop.

Dear Nigel,

Having lived with my desk for several weeks now, I just wanted to let you know (again) how delighted I am with the truly excellent way in which you have restored it to its orginal glory! I really am so very pleased. Several of my friends who know the desk over the years, have commented on the excellence of your work and said that they would certainly seek your help if it were ever needed.

Thanks again Nigel and my warm regards to you and your wife,
